Not all activities are planned ahead of time and announced on the site. Some spontaneously develop, like this meandering tour of Brooklyn's Sunset Park.

A craving for dim sum at Jade Plaza brought our intrepid enthusiasts to Brooklyn's Chinatown. Following the tasty meal, a tapioca tea break was a perfect digestive before their constitutional stroll through this patchworked neighborhood of Asian fish markets, Irish bars, Latino bodegas, and what may be the last remaining storefront from the area's earlier wave of Scandinavian immigration. Not to mention the uncomfortably extravagant St. Patrick's Day shrine in one denizen's tiny yard. Talk about enthusiasm. The League's "Conquer New York" itinerary has yet to be formally drawn up, but the nearby Brooklyn Army Terminal and the de facto relocation of 42nd street's adult entertainment establishments to Sunset Park will likely play pivotal roles.
